*MDCAT Preparations Finalized in Mardan; 5,459 Students to Appear in Test*


Students to be Provided Every Possible Facility at Examination Centers, Says Commissioner Mardan Habibullah Arif


MARDAN: All arrangements have been finalized for the successful and peaceful conduct of the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) in Mardan Division. A total of 5,459 students will appear in the MDCAT scheduled to be held in Mardan on September 20, 2026.


A meeting to review preparations and arrangements for the MDCAT was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Mardan Division Habibullah Arif. Deputy Commissioner Mardan Wasif Rehman, SP Investigation Maria Mustafa, the focal person of Khyber Medical University, District Health Officer, officials of PESCO, Rescue 1122, Special Branch and other relevant departments attended the meeting.


The participants briefed the Commissioner in detail about the examination centers, security arrangements, traffic management, uninterrupted power supply, medical facilities and other administrative matters.


The meeting was informed that the MDCAT will be conducted at six different locations comprising 10 examination halls, where a total of 5,459 students will take the test. All necessary arrangements at the district level have been finalized ahead of the examination.


Commissioner Habibullah Arif directed all relevant departments to perform their assigned responsibilities effectively and ensure that all arrangements are completed well before the scheduled time.


He directed the police, Rescue 1122, Health Department, PESCO, district administration, Special Branch and other concerned institutions to ensure foolproof security, uninterrupted electricity supply, medical assistance, emergency response and all other essential facilities at the examination centers.


The Commissioner said that MDCAT is an important examination concerning the future of students, and therefore all relevant institutions must fulfill their responsibilities through close coordination and effective communication to ensure its transparent, peaceful and successful conduct.


He further directed the concerned officers to provide every possible facility to students at the examination centers and keep all necessary arrangements in place in advance to deal with any emergency situation.
